The educational aim of this research study was to use poetry reflection of cosmology in university course for future science teachers. Another purpose of described activity was to introduce how the ideas of cosmology influence modern Czech poets, and vice versa. The paper explores whether students find out the overlaps between proper selected Czech modern poetry and cosmology ideas. The students during several weeks become familiar with modern scientific exploration of the Universe. After cosmology lectures they have the task to read selected modern poems about time, space, stars, galaxies to discuss the meaning beyond the literal words. Students are encouraged to appreciate the purposes, differences, and connections between scientific text, which must meet certain criteria, and extended poetry metaphor. The contrast between real and fictional object would supply a ground for better understanding, how science works. We would like to verify whether integrating a little bit of poetry in science lesson could help students and teachers to share cosmology ideas.
