Cooperative learning is an approach to organize classroom activities into academic and social learning experiences. It differs from group work, and it has been described as "structuring positive interdependence”. Students must work in groups to complete tasks collectively toward academic goals. This research was set out to survey the opinions about cooperative learning in the field of group learning and project of year one students in Early Childhood Education major of the Faculty of Education, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. A consistent instrument measuring the attitudes on a four point Likert scale was adopted for data collection. Analysis of the data showed that students highly prefer to study in groups and to handle project work in groups. The results of this study propose that students could develop unthinkable positive attitudes towards learning English language. The task for University educators is to provide students with the appropriate environment so as to enhance students’ skills and facilitate positive teamwork know-how among students who will need to interrelate with each other in global teams in the workplace of the future.
