Innovation is the well-spring of art and design creation in curriculums for college students in Taiwan. And it has never been more important than now, given the accelerating pace of change and increasing creative competition. It’s often added to the definition by pointing out that it actually takes a combination of thinking and creativity to accomplish the practical purpose or plan. As the new media adopted for use by students for pedagogical purposes, barriers to classroom implementation have manifested in tandem with rising interest in the medium. Artistic and creative thinking in the arena affords the new communication tool in art and design courses. This study introduces students to the possibilities and limitations of software while building their skills in pixel modification and the combination of their art and design curriculum. Students must design a new work by taking parts of other concepts and reassembling their skills into a new digital evolution. Learning how to master the latest digital evolution in Taiwan, it enhances comprehension and communication among students as well as the ability to build innovation across the art and design curriculum.
