This study wants to investigate the evaluation of the iPad on ELL university students’ English reading attitude and English reading comprehension in Taiwan. A total of 60 ELL university students were divided into two intact classes. The experimental group has implemented with the iPad eBooks while the control group has been taught in traditional print book methods. Both groups have taken both a pretest and a posttest on English reading attitudes and English reading comprehension. Results showed that the experimental group performed significantly better than the control group on reading comprehension. This indicates that the intervention with the iPad eBooks enhanced the Taiwanese university students’ reading comprehension effectively. What’s more, English reading attitude questionnaire not only suggested that the subjects in both groups showed positive attitudes toward eBooks used as learning materials but also that the experimental group responded positively toward the iPad eBook reading.
