The objectives of this study are two fold: (1) to promote necessary English oral skills; and (2) to provide prospective English teachers with a necessary roadmap towards achieving competency in English oral communication skills. The obtained results seem promising in the sense that our participants’ listening and speaking skills significantly improved and that our checklist criteria indeed helped our participants understand the essential constructs indispensable to improving their oral communication skills. Nonetheless, (1) all the participating instructors have to share the same understanding of the objectives of the exercises and the project; and (2) one-year study advice to students needs to be given weekly so that the students can continue their efforts to improve their necessary speaking skills.
