The thesis discusses the photographic-binocular narrative of modernism. Modernist literature offered its own processing of the screen genesis and collective perception of the cinema image. Literature undertook those techniques and methods, which were later used by cinema, after it was born. Often, readers perceive literary narration as cinema images (visual images). The article discusses the issues of narrative of prosaic works by Georgian writer Nikoloz Lortkipanidze. It studies Lortkipanidze's creative style; montage nature of time and space and cinematographic creation of the metaphor. The work shows the expression of impressionism as of cinematographic signs in the novellas. We analyze the specifics of narration; the peculiarity of rhythmically sophisticated melodic narrative; verbal laconism and lapidary nature of miniatures. We discuss the visualized vocabulary of prose; expression of sound and technology of description, which is based on the focalization and ocularization codes of planification.
