<title>ABSTRACT</title>
<p>In this study, the effects of <italic>Prunus spinosa</italic> on the breast cancer were investigated. A breast cancer cell lines were obtained from a cancer treatment center and reproduced in the research laboratory of Istanbul Ayd&#305;n University. For this purpose, the extract of <italic>Prunus spinosa</italic>, which was extracted and obtained, was prepared in 200 mg/ml, 100 mg/ml and 50 mg/ml concentrations and administered to breast cancer cells (MCF-7) and their reactions were observed after 24 hours. According to the findings, after the application, cell viability, cell proliferation, total antioxidant and oxidant capacity in the cell lysates were determined. Due to the control group, cell viability was determined to decrease in concentration. With the Cell Counting Kit (CCK-8), the plant extract is effective in cell proliferation, compared to the control group after plant extract administration was found to decrease depending on the concentration of cell proliferation. Total antioxidant and oxidant capacity of plant extract in breast cancer cells were determined by TAS (Total antioxidant measurement) and TOS (Total oxidant measurement) kits. Compared to the control group Total antioxidant capacity increased and oxidant capacity decreased. In scientific studies to be carried out in future years on breast cancer, it is considered to be useful to investigate different concentrations of <italic>Prunus spinosa</italic> in different time periods and its molecular effect in more detail. </p>
