<title>ABSTRACT</title>
<p> The picture we see from our traditional cities is teemed with facades in natural and joyful colours which transmit the spirit of life to people. Interestingly, fashion was something of compatibility with architecture especially for women and children. With the change in the season, people adjusted their life with the colors which appeared in the nature. Women tried to bring the new colors of nature in to their life and behaviour. They wore, multi-price clothes each of which in a different colour while forming a whole colourful scene. The children grew up in a milieu of color and variety. But with the change in lifestyle, the fashion became uniform with specific colours. Nowadays, the employees are obliged to wear dark or grey suit to show their dignity and trust. School students must wear long dark uniform. The integrity of buildings is seen as the basis of modernity in the city. The removal of variety in the appearance of buildings has left the people with a direct viewpoint towards their surroundings. There is not anything for the residents of a building to change their mood. In addition false consumerism in the religious cities of Iran has created a bipolarity of tradition and modernity. This paper discusses the psychological effects of uniformity of life in Iranian cities. </p><p>Keywords: Lifestyle, Uniformity, Fashion, Modernity. </p>
