Drug trafficking exists in very complicated criminal environment which is characterized with specific legitimacy, principles, and with specific organizational structure. This structure is basically organization of all links that form the chain from the production to the final destination in the major consumer centers. In this chain of modern organized drug crime there are people who are well trained and organized according to the principle of collective work and connection in the organization, who in the production and the drug trafficking exercise well – tested ways, means and processes that are constantly being improved. Every criminal organization which deals with drug trafficking has well developed paths and canals for drug transporting from the production region to the consumers, from one continent to another, from one country to another, as well as to the street sale. In this process people from different regions are involved, thus the criminal organization creates network for distributing the drugs all around the world. This network is expanding constantly because of the interest in the opening of new markets. Starting point for drug distribution are the countries in South-East Asia and Europe. Due to the natural connection of Republic of Macedonia with the countries from South-East Asia, through Turkey, as well as with the countries from Eastern and Western Europe, there are paths of distribution passing through our country known as the “Balkan Road”. In recent years, our country is facing increasing drug crimes. The land of transport is often perceived as final destination.
