<title>ABSTRACT</title>
<p> This paper evaluates the state of the regional development agencies in Turkey and their role in the regionalization process. The creation of the Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) in Turkey at NUTS II level is considered as one of the most important components of the State reform. Within this framework, the creation of the RDAs, their roles, functions and financial resources of development programs are examined. </p><p><italic>Keywords: </italic>Region, Regionalization, Scale, Development agencies, Turkey. </p>
