<title>ABSTRACT</title>
<p>  The objective of this study is to examine the use of radio as a source of information among aborigines (known as <italic>Orang Asli</italic>, in Malaysia) and how the aborigines use the radio to obtain information they need in order to gratify their needs that will enable them to use the information and knowledge they gained to cater to their information needs and also the resolution of their day-to-day problems, including those regarding development.  This study also aims to find out how they perceive the media (radio) and to identify the pattern of media consumption among the aborigines. A total of 295 respondents were employed in the survey that was held in the state of Pahang in Malaysia.
