<title>ABSTRACT</title>
<p> On 4 October 2012, the Argentinian naval training vessel ARA Libertad which was visiting Ghana was detained by the authorities of Ghana due to the Argentina's debt to a private company. On 15 December 2012, International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) ordered the release of ARA Libertad according to the provisional measures, which was requested by The Argentina Government based to The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)1 article 290/5. In this work, we tried to study the limits of the immunity of the warships, the interpretation of the UNCLOS and the order of the ITLOS by the view of international law.
