ABSTRACT

This paper investigates the main methods of teaching life skills to LSP students in the process of L2 acquisition on the basis of demonstration and guided practice activity. An elaborated methodological complex was worked out and taken into consideration while creating Letter Writing Guide, an interactive class, which was introduced into the course of English language training for bachelors in a Russian technical university. Since the final examination includes the part called business correspondence, the interactive class based on the above mentioned research complex proves to be the qualitative and timesaving way for the i-exam preparation. The results of the research and the number of successful task completion suggest that students appreciate the participation in the interactive activity and demonstrate excellent writing skills in the finals.
