The current array of education opportunities are continually expanding and changing. Now more than ever the variety of options is often divided into different educational levels. From elementary school to community colleges to graduate schools, most organizations and institutions are isolated, with little to no communication and no smooth transitions. In an effort to promote connections between and across all levels, educators from preschool to Ph.D. need to possess an increased awareness of how the skills they are teaching in the academic, social, and emotional realms fit into the total educational framework.
