ABSTRACT

During their preparation programs, pre-service teachers can be inducted into effective teaching practices, purposeful, data-driven decision making, and reflective practice through the use of Action Research methods. Engaging in scaffolded Action Research case studies and experiences can enable teacher candidates to emerge being more confident and competent novice teachers, establishing reflective instructional practices in designing and delivering effective instruction that will serve them well throughout their careers.
