This paper focuses on speaking as one of the four language skills, which is recently being given due importance in Albanian schools. Some years ago teachers in Albania focused on vocabulary and grammar paying little attention to practicing speaking. Thanks to the reforms in the curriculum for English teaching in primary and secondary education, the Albanian students spend more time with activities in which they can communicate with each other in English. But still there is need to overcome some cultural specific constraints affecting speaking skills.
