<title>ABSTRACT</title>
<p>This descriptive research explored level of work motivation, relationships and its effects on work motivation of village health volunteers in Suphanburi province.  Sample was selected by multi-stage sampling technique for a total of 348 according to Crazy and Morgan Table.  The 40-item questionnaire was used to collect personal and work motivation factors of village health volunteers.  The reliability was 0.95. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation, and stepwise multiple regression.<br/>
Results showed high level of work motivation of village health volunteers (x̅ =4.47, SD=.45). Significant factors positively correlated with work motivation at p&#60;.01 include compensation and welfare(<italic>r</italic> =.69), career advancement (<italic>r</italic> =.64), recognition (<italic>r </italic>=.62), work relationships (<italic>r</italic> =.60) and working condition  (<italic>r</italic> =.55). Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed significant predictors of compensation and welfare, career advancement, and recognition  on work motivation of village health volunteers for 58.6%. This findings suggest the important of continuously promoting compensation and welfare, career advancement, and recognition on work motivation of village health volunteers. The benefits will be an increasing in deliver health care for people by village health volunteers.</p>
