ABSTRACT

This study is aimed to find out whether there are any changes in CO2 emission and agricultural value added and economic and financal growth in Turkey. The data used in the study covers 1986-2014. All series are cointegrated in the long term as to Johansen Cointegration test. According to the results of the Granger causality test, Stock market capitalization is the Granger cause of GDP and agricultural value added, while the agricultural value added is found as Granger cause of all three components, and Co2 emission is not Granger cause of any component. The findings obtained in the study offer a general view to the policymakers about the relations among Turkey's carbon emission and agricultural value added and financial and economic growth.
