About IJAS

The International Journal of Arts & Sciences (IJAS) was founded in 2005 as a double-blind refereed journal. Its first issue was published one year later in hard-copy format. Each issue was driven by a call for papers focusing on a particular topic. In 2008, the journal adopted a two-pronged strategy to reach out beyond American academia to a truly global audience. First, it launched a series of refereed international conferences promoting both traditional research and study abroad programs. Second, with effect from late 2009, the journal started disseminating its research in electronic format. Its editorial board welcomes submissions from universities around the world. IJAS recognizes the best research articles and accepts less than 20% of the manuscripts it receives for publication in its journal.
